How can a school be part of the MultimediART Project?
Each school has to contact his national coordinator (see Contacts section) and ask him the very simple procedure to be part of the MultimediART Virtual Community.
How much does it cost for a school to participate in the MultimediART Project?
The participation in the project is free because the project has been financed by the European Union, DG Educartion and Culture, in the framework of the SOCRATES Programme, Minerva Action.
Who can attend the Training Course of the MultimediART Project?
All the teachers of the schools that participate in the project can attend the Course.
Does New Technology applied to the art creation process mean “Computer Art”?
Not only; with “New Technologies applied to the art creation process” we mean all the forms of Contemporary Art which make use of new technologies and innovative tools.
How many teachers can attend the teachers Workshop?
Each coordinator can agree with the schools involved the number of teachers who will attend the Workshop; there is not a limited number.
What skills are required to carry out the training and production phases?
Teachers and students need to have basic ICT skills, but they don’t need to be computer graphics’ experts. However, the Distance Course has to be considered as a first step in the use of new Technology’s tools for multimedia creation. In addition each school will decide the degree of involvement in the project, according to its curricular plans. The Project will be as flexible as possible.
Where will the students focus the research?
Each partner will be assigned by a list of European and Candidate Countries to concentrate the research, according to the cultural and language affinities. The final list of Countries, agreed by the partners, is enclosed in this document.
Is the Distance Course only for teachers or is it addressed to students too?
Each partner, as schools’ coordinator, can decide whether involving the students in the Distance Course or not. However, the Course is specifically planned for the teachers training.
